Important Safety Notice – Temporary Ban on Fires Across All Sites

Due to the current weather conditions and the significant fire risk across all allotment sites, the RAA Board would like to confirm that fires are not permitted at this time, with immediate effect. This temporary restriction will remain in place until around September, when weather conditions are more suitable.

Over the last week we have seen an increase in concerns and complaints regarding fires on plots, particularly with the land being extremely dry. Even small, controlled fires pose a heightened risk of spreading, and we must prioritise the safety of all tenants, neighbouring properties, and the wider community.

We would also like to remind all tenants not to store flammable liquids on site. Where storage is essential, please ensure these materials are kept in appropriate, secure containers to minimise risk.
