You don’t need a special qualification to be a foster carer. Foster carers come from all walks of life and can be employed, unemployed, retired, married, single or divorced.

The important thing is that you are 21 or over, have a spare bedroom and live within 20 miles of Rotherham. There is no upper age limit to become a foster carer and we welcome mature foster carers. In fact, your life experience could make you a brilliant carer.
